As you drift along, every twist and turn of the River Arun brings something new to spot, from wide open fields to leafy, wild landscapes as the river gently narrows upstream.
Keep your eyes peeled for the locals too, graceful herons, buzzing dragonflies and, if you’re lucky, a quick flash of a kingfisher darting by. Participants should arrive with warm, waterproof clothing suited to the day’s weather. A complete kit list will be provided upon booking, but here’s a general guide:

*Layered clothing is ideal for trapping warmth. Denim is discouraged as it restricts movement, feels cold when wet, and dries slowly. Footwear is required while kayaking, old trainers or plimsolls are ideal. Sandals are not recommended.Â
Wetsuits are optional but not essential; if bringing one, layering a warm top over it is suggested.
