With friendly instructors to guide the way, you’ll kick things off with a quick intro to the basics before heading out onto the water. For all kayaking sessions, participants should come prepared with warm, waterproof clothing. A full kit list will be provided upon booking, but here’s a general guide:
The above is a general guide, and appropriate seasonal clothing is recommended. A dry bag is useful for keeping items safe on the water and for storing wet clothes afterward.
*Clothing should consist of several layers to help retain warmth. Avoid wearing denim, as it restricts movement, feels cold when wet, and takes a long time to dry. Footwear is required for kayaking—old trainers or plimsolls are ideal, while sandals are not suitable. Wetsuits aren’t necessary, as they are only effective when wet; however, if you prefer to wear a wetsuit, we still recommend bringing a warm top to wear over it.
