One for the ultimate adrenaline junkies, this flying experience hits every bucket list as you not only get to pilot a light aircraft, but you get to observe someone else taking the controls too!
Available at multiple UK venues, the Aeroplane Pilot Land Away Double Flying lesson is the perfect combination to be a member of the crew, as a lookout and then as a pilot. You and a friend will have a 24-30 minute session of flight time under the instruction of a qualified instructor. You’ll also get 24-30 minute opportunity to observe from the rear of the aircraft.
The take off and landing will happen from different locations (dependant on weather and airfield conditions) with anytime spent behind the control counting towards a Private Pilot’s licence.
On landing you'll have chance to take photos of yourself next to the aircraft for full social media bragging rights!
A fuel surcharge of £4.50 per person will be payable direct to the provider upon booking.
This is an incredibly popular experience, so the provider advises booking around 3-6 months in advance for most locations. As we are a gift experience provider, we advise giving the voucher for the occasion ( i.e birthday/ anniversary ) and allowing the recipient to choose a location, time and date that suits them.Â
The main flying season is April-October for most of the locations.
This is experience is weather dependant and can be cancelled at any point up to the booking time in the interests of safety - in the event of a cancellation you are able to rebook for an alternative date.
Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.
Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
