With a choice of a 30-minute or 60-minute lesson, this experience is designed to give a genuine taste of what it’s like to fly a helicopter, not just as a passenger, but with hands-on time at the controls. Lessons take place at either Oxford Airport or Leicester Airport, giving flexibility when it comes to choosing a location. After a friendly welcome and safety briefing, the experience really takes off. Under the guidance of a highly experienced instructor, participants will learn the basics of helicopter control, how the aircraft responds, and what makes helicopter flying so unique. It’s surprisingly absorbing, and many people come away with a brand-new appreciation for what pilots do, and a strong urge to fly again!
The Cabri G2 itself is a brilliant helicopter to learn in. Modern, responsive and built with safety firmly in mind, it offers excellent visibility and a smooth flying experience, making it ideal for first-timers. Whether it’s a shorter introduction or a full hour in the air, the sense of achievement after landing is huge.
This experience is delivered by one of the UK’s leading professional helicopter pilot training academies, trusted by major industry operators. They’re known for their high training standards, professionalism and genuine passion for aviation, which really shows throughout the lesson.
