Available at 5 venues, this Flying Lesson is the perfect combination of observing the instructor and having the chance to take the controls as well. Across the 2 hour experience, you'll have approximately 30 minutes of flight time under the instruction of a qualified instructor. You'll then have an approx. 30 minute session to observe from the rear of the aircraft.Â
Your time spent behind the controls will even count towards a Private Pilot's licence, making this the perfect starter experience for someone who is seriously considering learning how to become a pilot.
This is a weather dependent activity, and as such, the take off and landing locations may differ dependant on weather and airfield conditions.  Â
Once your back on solid ground, you'll have chance to take photos of yourself next to the aircraft for a well earned souvenir of a fabulous experience!
A fuel surcharge of £4.50 per person will be payable direct to the provider upon booking.
This is an incredibly popular experience, so the provider advises booking around 3-6 months in advance for most locations. As we are a gift experience provider, we advise giving the voucher for the occasion ( i.e birthday/ anniversary ) and allowing the recipient to choose a location, time and date that suits them.
The main flying season is April-October for most of the locations, however Gloucestershire is a venue that runs year round.Â
This experience is weather dependant and can be cancelled at any point up to the booking time in the interests of safety - in the event of a cancellation you are able to rebook for an alternative date.
Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.
Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
