This Forged Arrowhead Making Experience is a one-of-a-kind experience that lets you step into the world of traditional blacksmithing and create something you can proudly take home.
Ideal for anyone over 13, this hands-on class is perfect for history buffs, craft lovers, and those who like to try something different. Guided by professional master blacksmith Will Holland FWCB, you’ll learn centuries-old techniques once used by Roman smiths, forging your own arrowheads and quarrels from scratch.
The day begins in a welcoming and relaxed forge, where you’ll start by creating simple bodkin and needle-point arrows, the same styles used in warfare and hunting throughout history. As your confidence grows, you’ll move on to refine your skills and have the chance to make a complete arrow with traditional fletching and binding.
Classes are kept small so everyone gets plenty of one-to-one guidance. Whether you’re brand new to forging or already have some experience, Will will tailor the day to suit your level, offering extra tips and advanced tricks for those ready to take it further.
Everything you need is included, tools, materials, safety gear and tuition, so all you have to do is turn up and get stuck in. By the end of the day, you’ll walk away with something you’ve made by hand, along with a real sense of achievement.
