The Experience

As far as unique experiences go, this one tops that list as you will get a chance to construct a ring from scratch which is rare in itself!

Take you and your partner to an old forge in Herefordshire for a weekend of designing and creating in their Damascus Pattern Welded ring experience. Over two days you will join professional craftsmen in the blacksmithing forge to learn the processes of forging, grinding, machining, heat treating and finishing whilst crafting your very own personalised rings.

You have the full support of the expert team throughout the day which is handy if you’ve always dreamed of making your own rings but have never had the confidence or known how to try!

You’ll then take home two rings that can either be an engagement ring, wedding, anniversary or just a sentimental ring which you can treasure forever!

Important Information

Please note the rings are made from two different types of steel 1095 and 15n20 which gives its contrast. 15n20 has a high nickel content so these rings are not suitable for anyone with a nickel allergy.

This experience is available daily.

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Minimum age: 16 years old.
Bookings should be made around 8-10 weeks in advance and are subject to availability.
Long sleeves, trousers and trainers/boots are advised. Long hair must be tied back and rings, watches or bracelets removed in the workshop as these pose a snagging hazard.
Personal protective equipment is provided on arrival.
The forge site is partially wheelchair friendly, and the forge team will try and cater for your requirements. Please discuss this at the time of booking the experience.
There is an on-site café open 7 days a week.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
