A fascinating new skill to learn, this workshop is tailored for beginners to epoxy resin. There are 2 parts to this course during which you'll learn everything you need to know about epoxy resin, including its application with timber.Â
In Part 1, you'll have the opportunity to get creative and complete your own unique live edge river pour. If you're interested in starting your own projects, such as river tables, live edge artwork, live edge furniture, or epoxy resin coatings, this workshop is the perfect starting point.
In Part 2, you'll master the art of sanding and finishing epoxy resin. You'll use the board you created in Part 1 to flatten, sand, polish, and cut into two coasters. This session includes the use of sanders, drum machinery, router tables, and chop saws. You'll also have the chance to operate Festool power tools and learn essential techniques for finishing epoxy resin work. The workshop will focus on achieving a 320g finish and will discuss the theory behind creating a gloss finish, perfect for anyone wanting to learn how to achieve a professional finish to their epoxy resin projects.Â
The experience provider has extensive experience in creating live edge epoxy pieces and utilising resin and they felt it was time to pass on their hard earned secrets on to you. There will be the option on the day to upgrade and make a matching charcuterie board if you'd like (for an additional cost), which would a lovely gift for someone or to keep and display at home!
Please be aware that Epoxy Resin takes about 7 days to fully dry so you will not be able to leave with your pieces on the day.
You can arrange to collect your finished pieces or they can be posted to you for an additional cost.

Part 1 runs from 9:00am to 11:30am
Part 2 runs from 12:30pm to 3:00pm
This experience runs on selected dates throughout the year.
Group size will be up to 12 people per session.
Please arrive on time. If you are 15 minutes late or more, you'll not be allowed entry to the class. This is to ensure the students have a lesson without disruption once the class has started.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
