Helicopter lessons are such a unique gift and this helicopter lesson provides a great introduction to flying with 1 to 1 tuition from experienced instructors and extra flight time.
Based at the Redhill Aerodrome in Surrey, this experience will last around 90 to 120 minutes. The lesson begins in the classroom where you'll learn the basics of flying a helicopter before getting to enjoy 40 minutes of flight time in the local area, with hands-on learning where you get to take the controls of the helicopter.Â
Qualified CAA-approved instructors will tailor the training to suit you to create a safe and enjoyable learning experience.
You'll be learning in the latest model of the Robinson R22, a two-seat, two-bladed, single-engine, light utility helicopter manufactured by Robinson Helicopter Company. It was designed in 1973 and has been in production since 1979.Â
All aircraft are subject to weight & balance limitations, both for individual passenger weights and the combined weight of all passengers flying.
Maximum weight for the Robinson R22 is 17st (108kg). Please advise the experience provider if over 15 stone (95kg).
This experience is subject to availability and flights normally operate on a daily basis between the hours of 10am and 4pm.Â
Flights are subject to suitable weather conditions. In the event of unsuitable weather, you will be offered an alternative date by the experience provider.
It is recommended at book at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure you get the date you want.
Total experience time: 90 - 120Â minutes.
Total flight time: 40 minutes.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
