SeaCity Museum brings Southampton’s history to life through fascinating objects, personal stories and interactive displays. One of the biggest draws is Southampton’s Titanic Story, which explores the famous ship through the people of Southampton who worked aboard her and the impact the disaster had on the city. Visitors can see more than 200 artefacts, hear survivor voices and explore a 1:25 interactive model of the Titanic.
But there’s much more to discover beyond Titanic. Gateway to the World traces Southampton's story across thousands of years, from early settlements and Roman traders to Saxons, Huguenots and later generations who arrived through the port. Historic artefacts, film, audio and an interactive map help reveal how Southampton developed over time.Â
There’s also Southampton Stories, exploring the people and events behind the city through models, costumes, artworks, photographs and objects from the museum's collections.
