RMS Titanic departed Southampton on her maiden voyage, and the disaster had a profound effect on the city. SeaCity’s permanent Southampton’s Titanic Story exhibition explores those connections through historic objects, personal stories, survivor voices and interactive exhibits.
The guided experience is designed to complement the collections on display, helping visitors gain a deeper understanding of the tragedy and its effect on Southampton.
There’s plenty of time for further discovery too, with admission to the wider SeaCity Museum included. A guidebook provides another way to delve into the museum’s stories, while afternoon tea in the café gives them a chance to relax and reflect on everything they’ve seen.

The tour is designed to develop visitors’ understanding of the RMS Titanic disaster and its effect on Southampton, while complementing the objects and stories displayed in the permanent exhibition.
The exhibition contains more than 200 artefacts, personal stories, survivor voices and an interactive 1:25 model of Titanic. Visitors can also learn about Southampton residents who worked aboard the ship and explore the events surrounding Titanic’s maiden voyage and sinking.
