Over the course of this fun and engaging day, you and your partner (or a couple you know!) will learn the art of blacksmithing, creating a stunning forged rose tealight holder that will glow in your home for years to come. From shaping and texturing the petals to free-forming the rose and crafting the tea light stand, every step will be infused with care, attention, and a little bit of patience – just like any great relationship!
Under the guidance of a skilled blacksmith, you'll have the chance to work with your own gas forge, anvil, and hand tools to craft your masterpiece. You'll also witness a power hammer demonstration, showing you how some of the pre-made pieces are forged, adding an exciting twist to the experience.
But it’s not all hard work – you’ll also enjoy a warm and welcoming introduction with a brew, a tour of the workshop, and a thorough safety talk. Throughout the day, you’ll be guided with practical demonstrations and attentive tutoring, ensuring you feel confident every step of the way.
And don’t worry about going hungry – you’ll be treated to a hearty stew made with root vegetables, chickpeas, and spices to fuel your creative energy. By the end of the day, you'll leave not only with a stunning piece of art but with memories that will last a lifetime.

Ages 15 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult who also has a valid voucher for the experience.
As the parent you will have the choice to focus 100% on your child throughout the day for safety reasons or you can work on a work station next to them and balance participating in the day and supervising your child. You will both be provided with PPE, a lengthy safety talk on the risk of burns and my attention throughout the day. Your presence is required to add an additional level of safety and supervision for your child and aid them in completing tasks along with the group.Â

Group size will be just the one couple however it may be two couples if the demand is high.Â

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
