The Main Event
Have you got what it takes to navigate a difficult off-road trail?
This course was designed for the military to make sure they were trained to the highest level off roading with a wide range of challenging obstacles.
With a Mad Max inspired Land Rover experience, this is going to get your heart racing as you’re driving up an impossibly steep mound in-front of you.
This experience is only available at Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
Important Bits
When
Selected dates Monday to Friday. Weekend dates are available with an additional payment upon booking from £25.
Due to this being a popular experience booking is generally 3-6 months in advance is required for most locations.
Validity
Your voucher is valid for 24 Months from the date of issue.
Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.
Who Can Go
- Minimum age is 10
- Please note that at least one adult must accompany every seven children for children aged 16 years and younger
- Medical conditions such as heart problems, claustrophobia or epilepsy may increase your chance of having an accident - please check with the supplier prior to booking to see if you are suitable for this experience
- Unfortunately, this experience is not suitable for those suffering with high blood pressure or for pregnant women
What about Insurance?
Some operators require customers to complete an indemnity/damage waiver form prior to taking the experience. This may state the driver is liable for a fixed amount of costs should they damage the vehicle whilst driving. Most operators are able to provide additional insurance to cover this at a small additional fee, payable on site. The purchase of this is optional and is in addition to the public liability insurance held by all venues. The full details of any indemnity or damage waiver and additional insurance will be provided by the activity operator. WonderDays is unable to advise or comment on the content or suitability of any such waiver or additional insurance.

Can we spectate?
Yes, there are outside spectator areas so please dress appropriately
How long do I drive for?
The experience will begin with a drivers safety and technique briefing followed by 20 minutes driving the Land Rover Defender.
What do I need to wear?
Please be aware that all driving experiences are completely outdoors and open to the elements. It's always worth packing a coat or umbrella even if the forecast looks sunny as airfields and circuits tend to be very windy!
Drivers should wear sensible shoes or trainers for driving and comfy trousers.
Do all cars run in the rain?
Yes, events are run in all weathers unless it is deemed so extreme that is unsafe to be on track.
Do I have to drive quickly?
Not at all, our trainers will help you enjoy the drive however you would like to.
What happens on the day?
We advise customers to book all vehicles onto the same time slot however if you have more than three cars to drive, please DO NOT book the last session of the day. The time that you are choosing is your arrival time and will not be the time you start driving. Please be aware that you will need to allow up to 3 hours at the venue from your session start time to complete your experience.
Photograph and video packages are available on the day, ranging from £25-£60 dependant on the package chosen and footage available.
Are the cars insured?
Yes but there is a £5,000 damage excess that is payable by the driver if any damage is caused whilst they are behind the wheel. You can cover yourself against the excess with an optional £29 damage waiver (available upon booking or on the day). This is a non-refundable payment. Please ensure you bring a credit card on the day if you are opting out of the damage waiver. This must be a card with a minimum £5000 limit. Please note our payment systems do not accept American Express.
