For the lifelong tractor enthusiast or those just curious about how farming has changed through the years, this driving experience offers the chance to get behind the wheel of two very different machines and compare them side by side.
Over two hours, participants will drive both a modern Massey Ferguson and the iconic vintage Grey Ferguson, a true legend of British farming history. It’s a rare opportunity to experience the huge difference between old and new tractor technology, all while enjoying plenty of time in the driver’s seat.
The experience begins with the modern Massey Ferguson, where drivers will get comfortable with the controls, handling, and smooth driving style of today’s machinery. After mastering the modern tractor, it’s time to step back in time and climb aboard the classic Grey Ferguson. With its traditional feel, simpler controls, and vintage character, it delivers a completely different driving experience.
This fully guided session is relaxed, and designed for all ability levels, no previous tractor driving experience is needed. Throughout, instructors will explain the key differences between the two machines, giving participants a real appreciation for how farming equipment has evolved over the decades.
Suitable for ages 16+, the Modern vs Vintage Tractor Driving Experience is a brilliant gift for anyone ready to swap the passenger seat for the driver’s seat and enjoy a true taste of farming past and present.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes to move around in, and dress for the weather. Please wear suitable footwear, no open toed shoes.
Weather
The experience will go ahead as long as it is safe to do so, even if raining. In the event of extreme weather (very high winds/lightening) the experience provider will contact you at the earliest opportunity to try and get you booked back in within the shortest time frame possible.Â
