The Experience

Immerse yourself in the art of leather crafting and learn how to make an A6-sized leather book cover.

This is a fully hands-on experience where participants create their own personalised leather book cover under the guidance of a skilled craftsman in a fully equipped studio. This workshop caters to all skill levels, making it accessible and as enjoyable for beginners as for seasoned crafters. The session will be set out so that everyone receives excellent tuition in an inspiring environment, where you'll have fun as well as learn a new skill.

In this leather book cover workshop, participants have the opportunity to choose their bridle/saddlery leather from a selection of colours, before beginning the crafting process. Learn how to design, decorate, measure, cut, stitch, and finish your unique book cover using professional leather working tools and techniques. With an emphasis on learning new skills, this leather workshop offers a memorable and fulfilling experience for anyone eager to explore the artistry of leather craft.

Important Information

Group size is a minimum of 6 people, maximum of 8.

Workshops are 6 hours long: 10am to 4pm.

Dates are available throughout the year and can be discussed with the experience provider.

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Minimum age is 16 years. Under 18's must be accompanied by a full paying adult (over 18) who can assume parental responsibility.
Open toe shoes will not be allowed and will exclude participants from the day if worn.
Sharp tools and needles will be used throughout the workshop.
All materials and relevant tools are provided so please do not bring your own without prior agreement.
Health and safety information will be provided when the date of the session is confirmed and a reiteration of this will be given at the start of the actual workshop.
All-day parking is available near our premises, but there is no parking on-site - details will be sent ahead of time.
If disability parking is required there is some limited parking available nearby - but ownership and display of a valid blue badge will be essential to qualify.
You are welcome to bring your own packed lunch, although there are food venues located near to the studio.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
