This Introduction to Handbuild Pottery Experience is perfect for anyone who's ever wanted to get their hands dirty and try something new. This two-hour session is the ideal way to explore the world of pottery.
Whether you're a complete beginner or simply looking to have fun with the kids, this hands-on pottery experience offers a welcoming and relaxed environment to start your creative journey. You’ll be guided step by step through the basics of handbuilding techniques, such as slabbing and coil building, and you’ll even get to try your hand at surface decoration.
In just two hours, you’ll create your very own functional pottery piece, like a mug, bowl, vase, or ornament, all while enjoying the process of shaping and sculpting the clay. You’ll be amazed at how quickly you can learn to craft something special! It’s an ideal experience for anyone who loves crafting, getting creative, or just wants to try something new in a fun and social setting.
Perfect for families, friends, or individuals, this session is great for all ages, and the whole family can enjoy creating together.Â
At the end of the session you can decide if you would like to have your pieces fired and glazed for an additional cost of £4-£12/piece depending on the size and volume, which is payable on the day.Â
Or if you're not interested in keeping your clay pieces, the clay can be recycled.Â
