Guided by torchlight, this tour gives you a true gritty look at what happened here over the last 400 years. Listen to the sinister tales including that of the "White Lady", the heartbroken murderess, will you see her perhaps? The former female wing of the jail has attracted many ghost hunters with its notoriety of being the most haunted area in this prison. Some say they have witnessed hauntings coming directly from the walls of the prison, as there are many unmarked graves of executed prisoners still laying here.Â

I'll be honest, I was surprised at how good this was! We had the tour of Shrewsbury prison and the guide was really informative and entertaining, the history of that place is so interesting. Well worth a visit.
We did the haunted ghost prison tour and had an amazing time, our guide was excellent and knew so much about the prison and its "ghosts". Even if ghosts aren't your thing, I think you'd still have a great time. The prison is well worth a visit in itself and Shrewsbury is a lovely town to wander around too.
