This experience invites you to roll up your sleeves and get hands-on with one of Italy’s most treasured traditions, pasta making. Forget gadgets and fancy machines; this is all about using simple techniques to turn flour and water into something extraordinary.
Guided by one of the school’s expert chefs, you’ll learn how to make a classic semolina dough that’s as authentic as it gets. With step-by-step demonstrations, you’ll master mixing, kneading, and shaping, skills you can take home and use again and again.
You’ll then get to try your hand at different pasta shapes from across Italy. Twist delicate trofie from Liguria, roll malloreddus from Sardinia, and have a go at strozzapreti from Emilia-Romagna. Each shape has its own story and technique, and by the end, you’ll be confident enough to experiment with your favourite.
Of course, no pasta is complete without the perfect sauce. While you work, your chef will whip up a vibrant Genovese pesto, a fragrant mix of basil, pine nuts, Parmesan, and olive oil. Once your pasta is cooked, you’ll toss it together with the pesto to create a dish that’s simple, fresh, and utterly delicious. Finally, take a seat at the chef’s table to tuck into your creation.
Everything you need is included, ingredients, aprons, and equipment, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm. You’ll be working in pairs, making this a fantastic gift for couples, friends, or family members who’d love to share a fun foodie adventure.
