Step into chocolate heaven with this Chocolate Bar Making Workshop Experience. Whether you’re buying for a loved one, a friend, or even yourself, this experience is fun, creative and of course involves plenty of chocolate.
York is famous for its rich chocolate-making history, and this workshop celebrates that tradition. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be immersed in the wonderful world of cocoa. You’ll begin by learning all about where chocolate comes from, tracing its origins from bean to bar, before discovering how it’s carefully crafted.
Of course, no chocolate experience would be complete without a taste test. You’ll get to sample a selection of delicious chocolate to inspire your own creation. Once you’ve found your favourite, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and make your very own bar. You’ll be guided through the art of tempering chocolate before pouring, moulding, and shaping your masterpiece. Then comes the fun part, experimenting with flavours and decorations to create something completely unique.
Each participant will design and make a 150g chocolate bar, which will be beautifully wrapped for you to take home and enjoy later, if you can resist the temptation that long!
This workshop is a fantastic gift idea for anyone with a sweet tooth, budding foodies, or those who love trying something new. It’s also a brilliant way to celebrate a special occasion with a handmade chocolate treat.

Duration: 1 hour and 15 minutes. Please allow around 20 minutes once your bar has been made for it to set so you can take it out of the mould and wrap it up to take it home.Â
