Ready, set, decorate! Head to Jack & Beyond's Arch 64 kitchen near Battersea Park for two creative hours learning how to turn a cake into something you'll be proud to show off.
Led by the Head Cake Decorator, this hands-on class introduces essential techniques including frosting, piping, setting and finishing. There's plenty of opportunity to practise before getting creative with your own 7-inch red velvet cake, using colours, sprinkles, ribbons and more to make it your own.
Best of all? The finished cake is yours to take home. A welcome mocktail is included too.
There's something particularly satisfying about looking at a beautifully decorated cake and being able to say, "I made that."
This experience combines learning with plenty of creativity. Rather than expecting guests to arrive with decorating skills, the class starts with the fundamentals and provides opportunities to practise before moving onto the real thing.
Their red velvet sponge will already be crumb-coated and waiting when they arrive, so they can concentrate on frosting, piping, finishing and adding their own creative touches.
Then comes perhaps the best bit: taking their 7-inch creation home to admire, share and, eventually, eat.

Classes run every second Saturday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm
