Your day out in Brighton starts with a visit to the Royal Brighton Pavilion.
The Royal Pavilion houses furniture and works of art including original pieces lent by HM The Queen. There is so much to see here, from the grand former pleasure palace of King George IV to the glorious gardens, one of the few remaining Regency gardens in the country.Â
Then head over to the Wine Cellar on Brighton's seafront to enjoy a delicious cream tea of scones with clotted cream and jam served with a pot of tea.Â

Closed 24 December (from 2.30pm, last admission at 1.30pm) and all day on 25 and 26 December
Wine Cellar Brighton opening times:
Weekdays 4-11, Saturday 12-11pm, Sunday 12-8pm

Really enjoyable. The Pavilion is fantastic, well worth a visit. The cream tea venue is a 2 minute walk away, and the scones and tea were served by a very friendly waitress and made a very welcome break.
Went firstly to the Wine Cellar Brighton for the cream tea. The reception from the team was great. Tea arrived a few minutes later. Fresh scones, jam and cream.
Following this I went to the Brighton Pavilion just a 5 minute walk away.
First visit a stunning place and historically really interesting.
This was a Mother’s Day present from our son. A lovely surprise. Booking was easy. The Pavilion was absolutely beautiful. I’m not sure that we had any concept of the opulence inside. We had the audio phones with us which gave details about every room and there were many volunteers to give any extra information or directions. Highly recommended.
This was followed by a very nice cream tea at Brighton Wine Cellar. Nicely served and extra cream and jam was offered if required.
Only small criticism was the walk from the Pavilion to the Wine Cellar. Had it been raining we would have been very wet even if you could manage to keep an umbrella up in the windy weather.
