This is a one hour experience where you get to explore the fascinating world of African drumming, where music has long been a way to bring people together in celebration, storytelling and joy.
During the 1-to-1 lesson, you’ll sit down with a traditional African Master Drummer who will guide you through traditional rhythms, beats and techniques. Whether you’re a complete beginner or already have a good sense of rhythm, the session is tailored to your pace, making it suitable for people of all abilities.Â
All the drums are provided, so there’s no need to bring anything other than your enthusiasm. You’ll be introduced to the instruments and shown how to play them properly, from the correct hand techniques to learning patterns that build into impressive, layered sounds. By the end of the hour, you’ll be amazed at how much you can achieve and you might even discover a brand-new hobby.
