This helicopter lesson offers an excellent start for aspiring pilots, featuring one-to-one instruction from experienced instructors. The session lasts about 60 minutes, starting with a classroom briefing on helicopter flying basics. Afterward, you'll enjoy 25 minutes of actual flying, where you'll take the controls under the guidance of your instructor.
Training is provided by qualified CAA-approved instructors who personalise the lesson to ensure it's both safe and enjoyable.
The helicopter used for training is the latest model of the Robinson R22. This is a two-seat, two-bladed, single-engine light utility helicopter, first designed in 1973 and in production since 1979.
All aircraft are subject to weight & balance limitations, both for individual passenger weights and the combined weight of all passengers flying.
Maximum weight for the Robinson R22 is 17st (108kg). Please advise the experience provider if over 15 stone (95kg).
This experience is subject to availability and flights normally operate on a daily basis between the hours of 10am and 4pm.Â
Flights are subject to suitable weather conditions. In the event of unsuitable weather, you will be offered an alternative date by the experience provider.
It is recommended at book at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure you get the date you want.
Total experience time: 45 to 60 minutes.
Total flight time: 25 minutes.
Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
