The adventure begins as you meet your fellow travellers in central Bristol and hop aboard the comfortable minibus. Your first stop will take you to a natural, biodynamic vineyard nestled in the picturesque Chew Valley. Here, you'll learn about the unique approach to viticulture that produces distinctive wines with rich flavours. You'll have the opportunity to taste two of these exceptional wines while soaking in the mesmerising views over Chew Valley Lake.
Afterward, you'll make your way to The Pony Chew Valley, where you'll enjoy an exclusive lunch curated by the renowned chef Josh Eggleton himself. Indulge in a culinary journey featuring the finest local ingredients, accompanied by insightful stories about the restaurant, garden, and cookery school.
Next, you'll venture to the charming village of Cheddar, where you'll have time to explore before visiting a dairy renowned for producing the only Cheddar cheese made in Cheddar. Dive into a cheese-tasting experience that will tantalise your taste buds and deepen your appreciation for this beloved dairy product.
Your final destination is Sutton Ridge Vineyard, overlooking Blagdon Lake, where you'll discover a family-run vineyard boasting award-winning wines. Throughout the day, your host Florence, a food and sustainability expert, will enrich your experience with her wealth of knowledge and fascinating insights into food and farming practices.
As you savour the flavours of the South West's finest produce, Florence will also share her insider tips and recommendations for making the most of your time in this beautiful part of the country. And don't forget to bring along a spare bag, as you'll have the opportunity to purchase your favourite wines and cheeses along the way.
Included in the tour is all transportation from and back to the Asda car park in Bedminster, visits to two sustainable vineyards, an exclusive lunch experience, a tour of Cheddar and its cheese company, and expert guidance from Florence herself.Â
