Who handles the filming for the wedding video?
The couple’s wedding guests take on the role of filmmakers! After booking, up to 10 guests can be assigned filming responsibilities. A week before the big day, these designated guests will receive detailed guidance on what to film and tips for capturing great footage. Assigning 8-10 guests helps ensure no one has too much to do and all moments are covered.
What parts of the day should guests capture?
The beauty of a guest-filmed wedding video is the flexibility—it’s entirely up to the couple! However, for a well-rounded highlights video, capturing moments such as morning preparations, the ceremony, speeches, cake cutting, the first dance, and the party is recommended. Guidance can be sent to guests with suggestions for these key events, but they are free to capture whatever moments the couple values most.
Should guests film in portrait or landscape?
Landscape filming is recommended, as most wedding videos are edited in this format. Portrait (vertical) videos can also be used, but they may have blank spaces on either side during playback.
Is there a limit to how much footage can be uploaded?
There’s no limit to the number of videos or guests contributing! The total footage collected depends on the package chosen. Typically, assigning roles to 10 guests results in around 200-300 clips.
What guidance is provided for guests?
Guests can be assigned specific filming roles, such as capturing morning preparations, the ceremony, speeches, cake cutting, the first dance, or the party. Short instructional videos will be sent to them, explaining exactly what to film and how to do it well, ensuring they feel confident about their tasks.
How are the videos submitted?
The day after the wedding, a secure link is sent to all assigned filmmakers, allowing them to upload their videos directly. The couple will also receive the link, which they can share with others who have additional footage.
What happens to the videos once submitted?
All videos are securely uploaded to the editing team, ready to be transformed into the final highlights video. Couples can view and download the raw clips from their account, but it’s suggested to wait for the edited highlights video to enjoy a truly special first viewing.
How long does the editing process take?
The editing process typically takes up to 28 days, ensuring every detail is polished to perfection.
Can the couple choose the music?
Absolutely! Couples can select from a licensed library of popular tracks, ensuring the soundtrack reflects their style. The library is continually updated, and requests for specific songs can often be accommodated to make the video truly unique.
How long is the finished wedding video?
The finished wedding video is typically between 2 to 4 minutes long. This length is perfect for creating a highlights reel that captures all the most memorable moments from the day, offering a concise yet impactful way to relive the celebration.
