This Private Skid Pan Driving Experience is the perfect way to surprise someone who loves driving or just wants to master the fine art of skidding!
This one-hour private session is designed for up to three participants, meaning you and two friends or family members can take turns behind the wheel while an expert instructor guides you through the experience as your through your paces on a specially designed low-grip skid pan.
No simulated hydraulic cradles here, this is the real deal. You’ll be skidding on an actual slick surface, in a standard rear-wheel-drive car like a BMW 3 Series, learning how to control front, rear, and all-wheel skids. The theory is covered in a short classroom session before you hit the pan, so you’ll be armed with the knowledge to tackle oversteer, understeer, and spin recovery like a pro.
The instructors are highly qualified (ARDS and BARDS certified), many of them active in racing and rallying. That means you’re learning from the best, people who live for driving and know exactly how to teach the skills needed to stay in control.
And don’t worry, losing control is part of the fun! You’ll feel the back end slide out, wrestle with the steering, and attempt to regain balance, all while laughing at your mates doing the same. These manual cars add another challenge too, ensuring you stay focused as you work to keep everything in check.
Unlike group sessions, this private experience means no waiting around, you’re straight onto the pan, getting maximum time to drive and learn. The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
