This 4-5 hour experience is perfect for anyone seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, making it an ideal wellness gift for yourself or a loved one. In today’s fast-paced world, taking time to unwind and recharge is essential, and this retreat offers the perfect opportunity to do so in a serene, natural setting.

Whether you’re new to yoga or an experienced yogi, this wellness experience is designed to suit all levels. The session begins with a gentle yoga class, guided by a skilled instructor, to help you ease into a state of relaxation and physical wellbeing. Following the yoga class, you’ll embark on a small mindful hike through the surrounding woodlands, enjoying the beauty of nature at a leisurely pace.

The highlight of the day is the forest bathing session, where you’ll practice Shinrin-Yoku, the Japanese art of immersing yourself in the forest atmosphere. This practice is all about embracing mindful moments, using all your senses to fully engage with the sights, sounds, and smells of the natural environment. It’s a unique opportunity to slow down and find peace in the present moment.

For added comfort, consider bringing a flask of tea and a small bite to eat, allowing you to enjoy a snack during the hike. This thoughtful touch adds to the experience, making it a truly nurturing escape that balances physical activity with meditative stillness.

Important Information

You will meet at 10:00 at OneGarden. 

A cosy indoor space is available for yoga in case of rain.

Available on select Saturday's & Sunday's each month.

Your experience will begin at 10:00 am, please arrive at 09:30 am.

Duration: 4-5 hours

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

What is Forest Bathing?

Forest Bathing, also known as "Shinrin-yoku," is a Japanese practice that involves immersing oneself in the natural environment of a forest. It is not about literal bathing but rather about taking in the atmosphere of the forest through all the senses. 

This practice encourages mindfulness and relaxation, helping to reduce stress, improve mood, and enhance overall wellbeing by connecting with nature. 

Forest Bathing often includes slow, mindful walks through the forest, deep breathing, and quiet observation of the natural surroundings. It's a great way to unplug and rejuvenate, making it an ideal experience for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.

What to Expect on This Experience

The day will start with a Yoga session in a cosy studio at One Garden, or outdoors if the weather allows. Activities will adapt to the conditions: on sunny days, participants will enjoy a gentle hike through panoramic fields to a secluded forest spot for a Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing) experience, engaging all their senses with nature. If it’s cold or windy, there will be a longer indoor yoga class followed by a walk through the surrounding woodlands.

One Garden has a lovely restaurant, perfect for lunch after the event!

What to Bring With You

Be sure to pack accordingly for varying weather conditions, as it can change quickly, especially on the hills where it might get windy! Here’s a handy checklist:

At least one litre of water

Sun protection (a hat, sunscreen, and a shawl or something to cover your shoulders)

Any necessary medication

Tissues and hand sanitiser

A warm jumper in case it gets chilly

Perhaps a sandwich and a flask of tea for a picnic

What to Wear

You'll need to dress appropriately for varying weather conditions, but always bring a warm jumper in case it gets windy!

Sturdy shoes with good grip (avoid Converse)

A beanie hat for wind and sun protection

What Happens if it Rains?

The weather is usually good, and the event remains enjoyable even with a little drizzle. If heavy rain occurs, we can seamlessly transition to a combination of indoor and outdoor activities since the studio is nestled in nature, surrounded by a beautiful garden and woodland.

Are There Any Toilets?

Toilets are available at the One Garden.

What Fitness Level is This Experience?

The yoga class is designed for beginners and is suitable for all experience levels. Participants should be fit enough to handle a moderate uphill walk.
