The Experience

Experience an unforgettable journey through London’s most iconic landmarks with a Royal London tour and afternoon tea at The Rubens.

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive around Parliament Square, where you'll admire the stunning Westminster Abbey, famously known as the wedding venue of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Next, you head to St James' Park and Buckingham Palace to experience the vibrant Changing of the Guard ceremony. Accompanied by the melodies of a military band, watch The King’s Foot Guard march to Buckingham Palace for the ceremonial guard change.

You will then head to The Rubens at the Palace Hotel, a luxurious 5-star venue located just a stone's throw from the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace. Unwind and savour traditional afternoon tea in the opulent Palace Lounge.

As you dine on a selection of sumptuous sandwiches, freshly made pastries, and traditional scones with clotted cream and fruit preserve, you can watch the comings and goings of the royal carriages.

Important Information

Royal London Tour Starts: 9:00 am, Victoria Coach Station (boarding 8:30 am)

Royal London Tour Finishes: 12:00 pm, and is followed by the Afternoon Tea.

Afternoon Tea at the Rubens at the Palace is an independent visit and takes place straight after the Royal London Tour. Please arrive at the hotel 15 minutes prior to your booked time.

Available to book daily throughout the year (except 25th December).

Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace currently takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays (subject to availability).

If there is no Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, you see the Changing of the Guard at Horse Guards Parade instead.

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Adult: 17+
Child: Ages 3 to 16 years old.
Children 3-16 years will be served the Children's Afternoon Tea menu.
Guests under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Allergies/Dietary Restrictions: Please inform us of any dietary requirements 48 hours in advance, including requests for vegetarian, vegan, halal or gluten-free Afternoon Teas. Please note that due to the nature of their business and offering the hotel cannot guarantee 100% allergen or intolerant-free recipes/dishes.
Dress code: Smart casual. We respectfully ask guests to refrain from wearing sportswear, flip-flops, and non-tailored shorts. Guests not adhering to the dress code policy will not be permitted entry into our restaurants and bars.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
