Take the controls of a real aircraft with an ex-military fighter pilot!
This flying experience gives you the chance to step into the cockpit of a T67 Firefly ex-military training aircraft and take control under the guidance of an experienced fighter pilot.
After getting suited up, you'll head to the aircraft for a detailed safety, parachute and flying briefing to prepare you for your time in the skies. A friend or family member can even join you at the aircraft to capture some fantastic photos before take-off.
Once you're settled into the cockpit beside your ex-military instructor, the adventure begins. After take-off, you'll learn how the aircraft responds to your controls as you practise turning, climbing and descending. You'll be flying the aircraft yourself, putting your new skills into action from the pilot's seat.
With your instructor guiding you throughout, you'll get the chance to try a selection of exciting aerobatic manoeuvres. Take control as you perform loops, aileron rolls, barrel rolls, Cuban 8s, slow rolls, stall turns and more. You can even experience the incredible sensation of weightlessness as you push the aircraft through the skies.
The flight is completely tailored to you, meaning you can choose how far you want to take the adventure. Whether you prefer a more relaxed introduction to flying or want to experience the full thrill of aerobatic flight, your instructor will help create a memorable experience at a pace you're comfortable with.
You'll spend around 40 minutes in the aircraft, including approximately 20 minutes in the air, before returning to base for a debrief with your instructor pilot. As a final keepsake, you'll receive a signed flight certificate detailing the G-forces you experienced during your flight.

Example of what happens on the day:
The flight experiences are delivered as Air Exercise 3 of the PPL syllabus by qualified Flying Instructors, and include a safety brief and explanation of how the flying controls operate. You will be shown how to fly the aircraft yourself under close supervision of your instructor, even if you have never flown in a light aircraft before.
Flights involving aerobatics and formation may involve greater risks than simple sightseeing trips, and guests will be required to sign a disclaimer to confirm that they understand and are comfortable with this.
Duration: Please allow 2 to 3 hours for this experience.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes early before your time slot to check in and do paperwork.
You will be required to complete a Medical Self-Certification Form before flying. If you have any doubts about any health conditions, it is recommended you contact your GP for advice.
It remains at the discretion of the instructor pilot on the day to have the final say over the manoeuvres flown, whether the participant is fit to fly, and whether to terminate a flight early if the participant is or appears to be unwell.
Flights take place Monday-Saturday inclusive (excluding Bank Holiday weekends) from late March to October.
Flights are subject to weather and airfield conditions.
