In this interactive gin making experience, not only will you be taking a journey through the history and art of distillation, but you'll be learning how to master the skill yourself as you create your very own signature gin.
Your day begins with a warm welcome to the distillery followed by a refreshing gin and tonic to get you in the spirit. Guests are seated at their own copper still workstation, where they’re introduced to the itinerary before embarking on a guided tour of the distillery. Here, they’ll uncover the fascinating history of gin, from its 1600s origins to its modern-day revival, and learn about the wonderful world of botanicals and distillation, that give gin its unique character.
Under expert guidance, participants will explore a wide range of botanicals, sampling and selecting from over 70 aromas and flavours. From classic juniper to exotic spices, they can touch, smell, and taste their way through a collection of botanicals to craft a flavour profile that’s uniquely theirs. As their blend distils, there’s an opportunity to try award-winning gin varieties and seasonal cocktails, all accompanied by a locally-sourced, seasonal cheeseboard.
Once each gin is perfected, it’s time to bottle and label the creation, adding a personal name before taking it home to enjoy. And as a fitting finale, guests raise a glass with a custom G&T made from their own unique gin blend, capturing the essence of the day in one last, refreshing sip.
