The experience begins with ground instruction and a professional demonstration, giving a clear understanding of the techniques involved. Once fitted with a secure safety harness, participants climb the ladder and step onto the platform, where anticipation builds with every second. With guidance from below, take hold of the trapeze bar and step off into the air.
As the swing begins, timing and rhythm come into play. Learning to “beat” the body in sync with the movement helps build momentum, and for those ready to push further, there is the chance to release and attempt a bar to bar catch. Each turn ends with a safe and satisfying drop into the net below, with instructors controlling safety lines throughout.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

What should I wear?
Close fitting clothing that covers your knees and doesn't restrict your movement. Yoga style clothing is ideal. This is an outdoors experience and it can be chilly, or sunny so dress appropriately for the conditions. You will be asked to take your shoes off, so spare socks are a good idea as your feet may get wet.
What happens in bad weather?
If the weather is bad the session will be cancelled. The supplier will try their best to give you advance notice, but this may not always be possible if the forecast shifts throughout the day. If your session is cancelled please contact the supplier directly to rebook.
What should I expect on my first lesson?
You will be given ground instruction and shown a demonstration. After being fitted with a safety harness, you will be clipped onto a safety line to climb the ladder. Once on the platform, you will be helped to take the trapeze bar and leave the platform.
When swinging, you will 'beat' your body in time with the motion of the trapeze. If you do this well enough you will be asked to let go of one bar and attempt to 'fly' to the next. At the end of each turn you will drop to the net, your safety will be ensured by the instructor controlling your safety lines from the ground.
Do you allow spectators?
Absolutely, get them to bring the camera! Your well behaved dogs are also welcome.
Who can have a try?
Anyone who is in good health and can fit into one of our safety belts (up to 50" waist and weight less than 100 kg). This session is not advised for anyone under the age of 8 years old, however, all children must fit one of the safety belts, which go down to an 18 inch (46 cm) waist.
All participants must sign a safety waiver to take part.
Health issues are very subjective and we aren't qualified to advise, but we suggest that flying trapeze isn't suitable for pregnant women or anyone with abdominal or shoulder injuries. If you are unsure please consult a medical professional.
