This one-day class is all about mastering the art of live-fire cooking. From lighting the grill to serving up perfectly cooked food, everything is covered. Using premium kit like Traeger Pellet Grills and Monolith Kamado cookers, guests learn how different BBQ setups work and how to get the best results from each.Â
Throughout the day, you'll build confidence with fire and heat control, learning how to manage cooking zones and temperatures so food comes off juicy, smoky and full of flavour. There’s plenty of guidance on safe food handling too. From chicken that stays tender, to steaks cooked using direct, indirect and reverse-sear methods, the techniques taught are ones that can be used again and again at home.
The class also covers vegetables and sides, showing how a BBQ can be used to create bold, smoky accompaniments that bring the whole meal together. Sausages are cooked to perfection, veg gets beautifully charred, and along the way there are tastings of everything being cooked.
The day finishes with a full BBQ feast, giving everyone the chance to enjoy what they’ve made and swap tips with fellow food lovers. Small group sizes mean plenty of one-to-one advice, making it ideal for beginners.
