This short getaway includes a one-night stay for two in beautiful Shropshire, perfect for a peaceful break, with time to explore the historic town of Shrewsbury and the stunning countryside around it. The highlight of this experience is a 45-minute river cruise on the River Severn, one of Britain’s most scenic waterways. You’ll board a modern, three-deck passenger boat that features retractable sides and a roof, so it’s great in any weather. Glide gently along the river as you take in the sights of Shrewsbury, including the Welsh Bridge, Theatre Severn, Shrewsbury Castle, and the striking St. Chad’s Church. Along the way, a qualified local guide will offer commentary full of fun facts and local history, bringing the landscape to life.
Of course, no relaxing day out would be complete without a traditional afternoon tea! After your river adventure, enjoy a short walk to a nearby restaurant where your delicious treat awaits. The afternoon tea does not take place on the boat but in a café/restaurant, just a 10 minute walk away. Maps can be provided while on the boat.
All bookings must be pre-booked at least 72 hours in advance, and any dietary requirements/allergies notified (you will be charged for any extra food that the café will have to make).
Available to book Tuesday to Saturday.
River Cruise
Runs 11am or 12pm - March, April, May, June, September and October. Not available in July and August.
Please arrive up to 15 minutes before the departure time of your trip to allow time to board.

Hotel Stay
This voucher is valid for any date of the year, though we use a live booking system, meaning hotel availability is beyond our control & is subject to change.
We'll send you the three best hotel room deals that are available at that time.
Please note that seasonality, major events, public holidays etc can affect hotel availability, and certain dates, such as school or public holidays may require an upgrade fee to book.
Breakfast is not included as standard under this voucher.
