WonderDays team members Lydia and Ollie were lucky enough to meet Sarah from Hoo Zoo where she shared her knowlegde with us on the junior zoo keeper experience.

You get the chance to step into the shoes of a professional zookeeper with this Half Day Zoo Keeper experience, where you'll meet a fascinating array of animals and discover what it takes to care for them.

During your experience, you'll get hands-on with feeding, handling, and interacting with animals such as lemurs, meerkats, snakes, and skunks.

Upon arrival, you'll receive a safety briefing from an experienced keeper before diving into the daily tasks of animal care. You'll spend the rest of your time handling reptiles, stroking skunks, and hanging out with hedgehogs, tenrecs, and meerkats!

The animals you’ll work with are chosen on the day, prioritising their welfare, but no matter which ones you care for, you’ll leave with a wealth of new knowledge and memories to treasure forever.
